Educational Sponsorship Programme for Needy Children.

In collaboration with CHILD FUND INDIA, we have been able to find sponsors for 2030 children in Thiruvallur and Dindigul Districts, whose educational expenses are borne by these sponsors.  Besides, the poor families are also helped in times of distress in the family.

To enable the women to contribute to the family kitty, small Self Help Groups (SHGs) are formed, and with the initial seed capital which is either donated, or arranged from banks as loans at relatively lower rates of interest, these ladies are given some training in a vocation of their choice – be it tailoring, beads and garland making, or computer skills, and then for marketing their products also, KKSS extends a helping hand and the funds thus raised are given to these SHGs.    KKSS keeps a check on the progress of these children, and keeps the sponsors informed of their progress through letters written by the children themselves.  So far, over 3000 children have received the benefits of these schemes.
